Is the glass empty, or half full? Depends on the state of the glass before you look at it- if it was full and you drank some of it, and it is now at that point, half empty, but if it was empty and you poured some in, then in that case it is half-full. Of course it could be a trick question and the “glass” in question could be completely empty or completely full, but we can’t see it so how are we supposed to answer this?
